How to hang a plasma TV?

What's the easiest way to run wires for a plasma TV through the wall? Can i run the power cable as well, because I've heard it's not safe to run the power cable in the wall? Also, should I use a plate to cover the box where the wires come out of, like the one below? Also, is it OK to drill through my firestop so I can get the wires through?

There are several things you can do. The nose plate you have linked is good. Here is a cheaper one.

I wouldn't run a manufacturers power cord in the wall if you can avoid it. Depending on where you are you may be breaking code. If you want you can use this device which gives you an outlet without having to tie into existing power.

It even has the nose plate attached.
You will need a high voltage box for it though. If you don't want to do that I would use a heavy duty 12 gauge extension cord long enough so that neither end is in the wall so that you can unplug it without pulling down the TV. Nothing should be plugged into an extension inside the wall. Those heavy duty cables are available at Lowes or Home Depot at 8 foot or 15 foot lengths. Monoprice is a great place to get the cables too. Drilling through the fireblock is fine but be careful not to go through the back drywall. If you don't mind patching the wall afterward you can cut out a square right at the fireblock so you see the cross-section of it. Now just drill right across it straight in. This will make it very easy to fish the wire to your wall plate locations too. The inverted nose plate (with the protrusion in the wall) are great but if the low voltage cut in box you use has steep sides it tends to pinch the cables. If you get the cut in boxes at Lowes get the green OnQ cut in box
