Ringtone Help!?!?
Ok i own a phone called Samsung SGH-D807 which has bluetooth, and mp3 player......I just want to ask how do i send ringtones from my computer to the phone..my phone has bluetooth...i also have a micro sd card with the adapter and my laptop has a sd card reader so i could just put it in but i put in my mp3 songs but somehow the phone dosent let me set it as my ringtone......does it have to be special like .mp3 or .wav or watever
i have a micro sd card 1GB and i ordered a usb cable but im still waiting for it to arrive....but how is the usb cable going to help
the problem is more related to the samsung software that runs on the phone. most samsungs do not let you specify where to save a sounds file you recieve, and so you then do not have access to it, even if it is in the correct format. the best solution i have found it to use a data cable and move files to the proper folder that they need to be on on the phone before being able to use them.
A USB cable would help because you could browse the file tree of the phone and copy the file to the system directory on the phone that the phone is looking in for the ringtones.
