Does anyone know how to turn the speakers off on a samsung lcd hdtv?

Does anyone know how to turn the speakers off on a samsung lcd hdtv? I have a sony surround system hooked up to it and the only way I can get the full effect out of my system is to turn the speakers off on the tv. Does anyone know how to do this?

the menu is actually set up to ask you if you are going to use surround sound, come to think of it, if you have a HDtv just mute the dang thing and use audio out from your HD receiver or the DVD player when not watching local on air TV , cuz that is only broadcast in stereo.

VCR is analog only. So the digital sound output from the combo deck would not work when in VCR mode.

Coax is better for durability & reliability.

I think there are protection issues when copying from a device output directly. Use your receiver's secondary video output if you want to record cleanly. Not entirely sure.

You can transfer VHS to DVD with a DVD-Recorder. Again there are protection issues when doing this.

Yes pricing is varied but its mainly due to the features you want or need.
