How do I connect stereo speakers to receiver for TV audio?

How can I connect basic stereo speakers to my receiver for TV audio? I have an older mitsubishi receiver. I have connected the speakers to the receiver and I've connected the TV to the receiver using input/output jacks using the video component jacks on the back of the receiver. I have the right component selected (Video/AUX) but I'm not getting sound from the speakers.

What could be wrong? How do I fix it?

Alright ,Tom let's get down to it. An older Mitsubishi is always a great unit. It should always work for you, so it must be a cable, or switch setting problem on the "M". OK, first the speaker setting on the "M". Which speaker terminals did you go into with your speaker wires, "A" or "B"?

Make sure the speaker terminals you went into in the back matches the speaker selection switch setting on front (A, B, Both, etc).

OK, now, your older "M" will not have "video" inputs on the back, and you don't bring audio into video inputs. (read your question again) Look at your TV. You must come out of the "Audio Out" RCA terminals of your TV, and, in an older stereo, you go into "audio in", or into "tape in" or "tape monitor input".

Then, if you go into the "tape in", or "tape monitor in" inputs from your TV, you must have the selector swich on your "M" set on "Tape", because your stereo will think your TV is a tape player.

OK, something is wrong, but it's simple. Check out what I told you, re-plug your wires/cables, and if it still doesn't work, click on my avatar, go to my profile page, email me, and we will fix it, or else something else is broken (not likely).

After making all necessary settings, press the "Start" button to start converting DVD to iPad.

 

Step 4. Transfer Output Video to iPad

 

Connect your iPad to PC and transfer the output video files to your iPad with the sych of the iTunes library.

 

Part 2. How to Convert Video to iPad Using iPad Video Converter

 

Click the "iPad Video Converter" button to launch iPad Video Converter. Import video files stored on your PC by clicking the "Add File" button. The other steps are the same as those of ripping DVD to iPad video.

I have a Playstation 3 and I want to know if I have the PS3 connected thru a HDMI cable can I also use the Digitial Audio (optical) at the same time? I want to connect the HDMI Cable to my HD projector and use the Digital Audio (optical) to connect it to my sound system I have at my houseso I ahve great video quality HD and also a great sound? So I was sondering if I could have the HDMI and the digital Audio (optical) in uable at the same time thru the PS3?

If you want to have audio output over HDMI and optical at the same time, no, it's either one or the other

3. Keep any eye on the power usage of the camcorder that you want to buy. Some sip power and others drink it at a gulp, so look for a camcorder that will let you record continuously for at least 1-2 hours before recharging. Otherwise, you will need to buy an extra battery to carry with you instead.

4. Image stabilization is a very useful feature found in many digital camcorders these days as it will help eliminate some of the shakes that many folks introduce unknowingly into their videos while filming. They may not notice it while they are recording, but once you sit down and try to watch video that constantly bounces around you will really appreciate the image stabilization feature.
